As an Occupational Therapist, Bela provides individualized therapy for children ages pre-K to Grade 5 who are experiencing challenges with handwriting (print and cursive), written output, fine-motor and visual-motor skills, attention, organization, and functional participation.
Her approach goes beyond handwriting mechanics to understand what is making a task difficult for the child and to develop practical, individualized strategies that build skills, confidence, and independence.
Therapy is built around the skills behind the task — not just the handwriting itself.
Sessions are tailored to each child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals — combining assessment, skilled intervention, and practical strategies that carry over into daily life.
The goal is not simply to improve handwriting. The goal is to understand what is making the task difficult and provide the right supports so your child can participate more successfully.
This may involve considering handwriting mechanics, fine-motor and visual-motor skills, attention, task initiation, endurance, regulation, organization, self-confidence and environmental supports. Recommendations are individualized to your child’s strengths, needs and daily environments.
